Homework: Students have a handout for the Marine Biome Evening at School on April 17th. It is also on the homepage of the wiki.

Science: Our focus this week is on getting our Marine Organism Research and poster done. Here is a rubric for the poster (effort and creativity will be for their food item). Students have guideline sheets regarding what should be included on the poster. We will supply the poster board. Once research and editing is done they will begin their posters. Parents please feel free to help with the editing. Students should try to be creative in how they discuss the different attributes of their organism. Also students will bring their food item to school on Tuesday evening.

Vocab to use in your Food Web description: primary, secondary and tertiary consumers, predator, prey, producer, energy flow, energy pyramid.

Bonus Homework: MangaHigh or BrainGenie

Today in class:

Math: We worked on section 4.3 of their math books which has to do with dividing fractions.

Language Arts; Special thanks to Eli and Julia for demonstrating how to create a Google site. Students are creating a Google site to display their questions and answers from the Lit Trips. There is a link from Hunt School in Google Earth to their questions. Currently their are writing their summaries and will record those as a Google Tour. All summary scripts are due on Wednesday. I hope to share these at parent conferences.

Science: Everyone is working diligently on their Marine Organism Project. We are looking forward to our evening in the reef on Tuesday, April 17th.

Social Studies: We are studying the Maritime Provinces and are also learning some about P.E.I. thorough our reading of Anne of Green Gables (abridged version).

Lately days just seem to fly.
